The ICIQ Auditorium has been renamed to honour the memory of our colleague Prof. Dr. Kilian Muñiz with an intimate event that has gathered relatives, closest friends and colleagues at ICIQ on the 29^th of October.

During the event, family, friends, colleagues and members of the research group of Prof. Dr. Muñiz have shared memories and warm words in his honour. As Prof. Palomares, ICIQ director, has remarked during the initial speech: “Prof. Dr. Muñiz was passionate about chemistry and science (among many other things). We should strive, as he did, to transmit his passion for chemistry to the younger generations.”

Prof. Melchiorre and Prof. Kleij have organised the event and thought back on their friendships stating “we shared many fundamental principles of life, science, and of course, friendship. There are people who stay in your life for a too short amount of time, but who leave a mark and will always be remembered.”
