Prof. Jonathan L. Sessler visits ICIQ

Prof. Jonathan L. Sessler from the University of Texas at Austin visited ICIQ yesterday invited by Prof. Ballester group. He delivered a talk entitled ‘Calixpyrroles: From Anion Receptors to Self-Assembled Materials’.
Prof. Sessler is currently the Rowland Pettit Centennial Chair in Chemistry at University of Texas at Austin. He has authored or coauthored over 590 research publications and two books, has been an inventor of record on over 71 issued U.S. Patents and his current H-index factor is 80. He is a co-founder -with Dr. Richard A. Miller- of Pharmacyclics, a publicli traded company dedicated to developing new cancer therapies. In March 2015, Pharmacyclics was purchased by AbbVie for $21 billion.
