Prof. Antonio M. Echavarren receives the Organic Chemistry award from the Spanish Royal Society of Chemistry

The Spanish Royal Society of Chemistry’s award commission approved by unanimous decision to grant Prof. Antonio M. Echavarren, Group Leader at ICIQ, the Organic Chemistry Award, sponsored by Janssen Cilag.The commission considered Prof. Echavarren as one of the most relevant Spanish chemists in the field of the organic synthesis. He exceptionally combines the development of the synthetic methodology with the application to well defined objectives. His most important research goals are the development of the C-C coupling methodology with palladium in intramolecular cyclation, the study of the catalytic activity of the gold cationic complexes and the synthesis of fullerenes fragments and bioactive products
