Nicolas Delpont, PhD student under the supervision of Prof. Antonio M. Echavarren, defended his PhD Thesis entitled Gold Catalysis: Total Synthesis of the Englerins and an Approach towards Schisanwilsonene A (assigned to the Analytical Chemistry and Organic Chemistry Department of the Universitat Rovira i Virgili) publicly on April 26th, at the ICIQ auditorium.The members of his evaluation committee were: Prof. Josep Font (Universitat de Barcelona), Prof. Yolanda Díaz (Universitat Rovira i Virgili), Prof. Juan Carlos Carretero (Universidad Autónoma de Madrid), Prof. Mathias Christmann (ITU Dortmund) and Prof. Anton Vidal (ICIQ).
