Moira Ciardi, PhD student under the supervision of Prof. Pau Ballester, defended her PhD Thesis entitled Design, Synthesis and Binding Studies of Calix[4]pyrrole Based Receptors suitable for Ion-Pair Complexation and N-oxide Recognition. Synthesis of Resorcin[4]arene Derivatives as Potential Ligands for Supramolecular Catalysis (assigned to the Analytical Chemistry and Organic Chemistry Department of the Universitat Rovira i Virgili) publicly on October 11th at the ICIQ auditorium.The members of her evaluation committee were: Prof. Christopher Hunter (University of Sheffield), Prof. Elisabetta Iengo (Università degli Estudi di Trieste) and Prof. Anton Vidal (ICIQ).
