Núria holding the “Excellence in Doctoral Thesis Award” diploma
Dr. Núria Huguet (Echavarren group) has just received one of the URV’s “Premio Extraordinario de Doctorado” (excellence doctorate award) for her thesis “Exploring New Gold-Catalyzed Cyclization Reactions of 1-5-Enynes and Development of an Intermolecular Phenol Synthesis.” It’s the icing on the cake after almost five years at ICIQ doing extraordinary work.
Núria joined ICIQ in 2008 as Summer Fellow and then decided to start her PhD studies in Echavarren’s group. After defending her thesis in 2103 she did a postdoctoral stay at the Catalysis Research Laboratory – CaRLa, Heidelberg. Now, she holds a chemist position in the Department of Homogeneous Catalysis at BASF (Ludwigshafen, Germany).
