A paper by Ruben Martin research group is one of the Most Read in JACS

8th febrer 2014 – The paper by Ruben Martin et al. reports a new protocol that deals with the development of a synergistic activation of CO2 and a rather challenging activation of inert C(sp2)–O and C(sp3)–O bonds derived from simple and cheap alcohols, a previously unrecognized opportunity in this field.

Ni-Catalyzed Carboxylation of C(sp2)– and C(sp3)–O Bonds with CO2
Arkaitz Correa, Thierry León, and Ruben Martin
JACS, 2014, 136 (3), pp 1062–1069

This article has been one of the most read papers of JACS in January. In fact, every single paper from Martin’s group in the field of CO2 research has been a JACS most read paper (JACS 2009, 131, 15974-15975; JACS 2013, 135, 1221-1224 and JACS 2014, 136, 1062-1069). This shows international interest and recognition of chemistry research in this field.
