Abstract

The seminar will discuss current trends in the Biopharmaceutical Industry with an emphasis on the role of process chemistry in the advancement of new drug substances. In particular, the development of an enabling route to synthesize a highly complex macrocyclic inhibitor with promising preclinical activity for the treatment of the Hepatitis C virus will be presented.
